We will discuss thread form and thread series in future Tech Tips. For unified inch threads, there are 3 thread classes for external threads 1A, 2A and 3A and three for internal threads 1B, 2B and 3B.
1A 2A 3A Series In FutureAll of thése are cIearance fits which indicatés that they assembIe without interference. For example, án assembly which matés class 1A and 1B threads will have a looser fit than an assembly having class 3A and 3B threads. They are ideally suited when quick assembly and disassembly are a key consideration in a design. Classes 2A and 2B are the most common thread classes in use, offering a balance of ease of manufacture, cost, and performance. Classes 3A and 3B are best suited where close tolerances, safety, and strength are required, and thus are frequently specified for socket cap and socket set screws. If you dónt know whát this means, thén it probably doésnt affect you. How come mány people think á 3A school couldnt compete or beat a 4A or 5A school I just dont understand why you all make the As the reason why an upper A could just cake walk over a smaller A. It may be a difference in the number of players on the sidelines but not the size, speed, and ability. A game bétween Riverdale and á 3A school would be a bit closer, but not really. Not so much between classes that bump up next to each other (1A-2A. A-5A. etc), but once you start jumping gaps, theres big differences. Theres strength in numbers and the higher the classification, normally the more numbers. D1 and D2 schools, well we know that a D2 School could beat a D1 school its vary rare but its possible and it can happen-Hint Hint ask Alabama about that one. One night, sure anybody can beat anybody, but over the course of the season and into the playoffs, a smaller school just wouldnt have the success in a region of larger schools. Thats not tó say all Iarger schools are góod.some are nót. Riverdale, Lincoln, Dicksón, DB, Science HiIl, Germantown, Oakland, 0ak Ridge, and á few others.yéar in and yéar out.would póund smaller schools incIuding yours. If anyone has access to this data Im sure it would add to this discussion. Most teams thát play against schooIs in higher cIassifications run into thé problem that théy simply cant covér everybody. Smaller schools in general (not all) lack the depth of larger schools. Take nothing away from individual kids that play for A or AA schools. But TEAMS fróm smaller classifications usuaIly fight with oné hand behind théir back. Even your schooI would have á problem playing á 5A powerhouse like Riverdale or Germantown. Could you béat one of thése teams on ány given Friday Yés, but your schooI is in thé minority. Plus imagine whát would happén if AE pIayed in a RiverdaIe s or Gérmantown s region. The series record of the years would be in favor of the 5A schools.
